Further adventures in our family last week entailed:

• B developed a staph infection from God knows what leaving him with 3 really ugly, draining cysts that required an antibiotic. Made an attempt at a second antibiotic but he vomited it up everywhere. All. over. our. bedroom. (Need I tell you he had a cherry Slurpee about an hour before?)


• J is registered for tap/ballet and jazz musical theater while B&I are going to do a parent/tot dance class!


• It's hot. Oven-like hot. The kind of hot where you wake up to your windows dripping and your AC freezing. Temperature = just below simmering. It's pretty gross.


• Dad is still vying for the poker king crown...

First official post!

So here we are at the end of our second week of first grade homeschool for C. After months of looking at every boxed curriculum on the planet we opted to go with our secular version of the classical approach (most using WTM). Our takeoff is slllooooowwww. C does *not* transition well at all. When I get everything "officially" together I'll post it. He does sooo well at home. He's a joy to teach. However his 21-month-old old brother WHILE I'm trying to teach is a whole 'nother story....
